Provides for direct payment to service providers for the entire cost of tuition, books, fees, supplies, and rehabilitation services. Counseling services are provided throughout participation in the program. Participants may select a program of education to assist them in attaining an educational, professional, or vocational objective at any approved educational institution they choose. The Eastern Regional Office serves the states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Applicants residing in these states should mail their completed applications to the address below. Eligibility ceases at the end of 10 years from the date of the participant’s last discharge or release from qualifying active duty after January 1977.
