Utilizing help from Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, North Branch Municipal Water & Light provides incentives for its residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are available for qualified dishwashers, clothes washers, central and room air conditioners, ceiling fans, light fixtures, air and ground heat pumps, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and freezers. Incentives go up to $200 for central A/Cs, which are also available Appliances must be Energy Star to qualify for the rebate, and bonus incentives are available in some cases if the old working appliance is properly recycled.
