$4000 Incentive in Solar-Electric Rebate Program

Great River Energy (GRE) member cooperative utilities offer a rebate of $2,000 per kilowatt for grid-connected solar-electric (PV) systems, with a maximum award of $4,000 per customer. This program, which is available to member utilities’ residential customers, began in September 2005 and is subject to availability of funding. GRE’s rebate for PV systems may be combined with the state’s solar-electric rebate, which also offers $2,000 per kilowatt for installed PV systems. Please note that the Minnesota Solar Electric Rebate Program is fully reserved. The Office of Energy Security (OES) will continue to accept applications to be placed on a waiting list pending additional funding and will notify applicants if additional funding becomes available.
