With help from Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Mora Municipal Utilities provides incentives for its residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are available for qualified dishwashers, clothes washers, central and room air conditioners, ceiling fans, light fixtures, air and ground source heat, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and freezers. Incentives go up to $200 for central A/Cs (plus $75 for every 1 SEER above 14). Appliances must be Energy Star to qualify for the rebate and bonus incentives are available in some cases if the old working appliance is properly recycled.
