Provides funds for technical assistance, training, and economic development and planning activities with the purpose of promoting sustainable economic development in rural communities with exceptional needs.. Public bodies, nonprofit corporations, Indian tribes on Federal and State reservations and other Federally recognized tribal groups, and cooperatives are eligible to apply. Applicants must be located in rural areas (this includes all areas other than cities of more than 10,000 people).
