$10,000 Loans to Make Energy Efficient Home Improvements

The Home Energy Loan Program is a statewide program of the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency administered by the Center for Energy and Environment Financial Resources. It offers loans up to $10,000 at 6.25% APR with a maximum term of 5 years, secured through a mortgage, to homeowners who want to make energy improvements to their properties. Eligible improvements include water heaters, furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, building insulation, windows, and doors. Custom improvements may eligible as well as determined by the program admistrator. The property should be single-family (1-4 units) residential, but up to 49% of the residence can be used for business.
