Rebates for Energy Efficient Technologies

With help from Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Preston Public Utilities provides incentives for its residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of their homes. Rebates are available for qualified dishwashers, clothes washers, air conditioners (central and room), ceiling fans, light fixtures, heat pumps, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and freezers. Appliances must be Energy Star to qualify for the rebate, and bonus incentives are available in some cases if the old working appliance is properly recycled.  Maximum incentive is for central A/Cs,  $200 plus $75 for each additional SEER over 14.
